  1. adding an option to “study this card later”

Rather than just having the “green” option to learn a card immediately and a “red” option to ignore the card completely, why not add a third option that allows one to set the card aside for the time being but so that it will automatically be proposed again after some time has elapsed (say two weeks)?

  2. Hands free mode should automatically add cards to the 'review' section

When reaching the end of a hands-free session, all learned vocabulary should be added to daily review. Perhaps at 'difficult' level if the session is not completed, and 'good' if the full hour is completed.

  3. Auto Language Direction

Currently you can change the language direction by setting it by level. I would like an option where the language direction changes based on your familiarity with a card. When the setting is turned on, all new cards show LL (Learning Language) on side 1 and NL (Native Language) on the reverse side. Once you reach a certain proficiency the language direction reverses so that you are presented NL and have to remember the equivalent word/sentence in the language you are learning. When the card is reveresed for the first time, it is shown sooner than normal (almost like a…

  4. Enable/improve search for already existing own flashcards

If you want to search the cards with the "Search" function, only hits in the Mosalingua flashcards are displayed. Flashcards created by myself do not appear among the hits. If I now create a new word, I don't know if it doesn't already exist and the card might simply not have been learned yet. In the meantime, this has led to numerous duplicates in my app, since I can no longer find my own flashcards and further edit and improve them (e.g. add the perfective form for verbs), or a manual search is enormously time-consuming, since the flashcards are stored…

  6. Dialogues

We don't have in the new version app of Chinese, the "dialogues" as we have in the former apps of German, French and Spanish, that I've got. Those dialogues are much shorter, but have English translation (subtitles). Now, the new way, this is missing in the app of Chinese!! We must use ebooks in library on the website. There we have NO English translations. To me this change is a huge change, I cannot use it this way. Also in the former apps, we can in dialogues also choose text of the given dialogue, to learn that in our flashcards.…

  7. Slow the French dialogues down to 75%

Understanding dialogue is the most difficult part of learning French. Slow the dialogue down to 75% of normal speed to help students develop and improve listening and prononciation skills.

  8. Microphone detector

Hi, I'm learning German, it would be a great help in pronunciation, when the recording could determine whether the pronunciation of us, students, is correctly pronounced.

  9. Provide three lists: "Cards I have seen", "Cards I have learned" and "Cards I am learning"

New cards that I have worked with will automatically be added to "Cards I have seen" and "Cards I am learning".

"Cards I have seen" can not be modified, but from this Master List I can copy a card to "Cards I have learned" or back to "Cards I am learning".

That way I have access to fresh cards ("Cards I am learning") in hands free mode without interruptions of cards I already know very well ("Cards I have learned").

That would work by directly setting the card to one of these options when clicking the green button directly on…

  12. Ability to use microphone during review, to hear your own pronunciation.

After the initial “Listen and Repeat”, I’d like to be able hear if my pronunciation on the Flashcards during review is improving. My comprehension is improving but I think my pronunciation of recalled words may not be!

  13. matching games

I suggest that you add some games to your program such as a game that you can match a word in your language with the same word in the language your learning and more like that.

  14. Hands Free Mode should Save My Progress if I switch between languages.

Currently Hands Free Mode does not save progress when switched between languages. This greatly reduces its value when trying to use it to study more than one language.

  18. Display the text of the flashcard when it is spoken during the learn phase.

When new flashcards are learnt, they display the text at the beginning. But when user is to repeat what was spoken, it is sometimes difficult to remember the pronunciation of the words in the text. If the text was displayed as well as spoken before recording users voice, it would help a lot in learning the flashcard.
